Since it is a plastic eyelet, sufficient stability for the key collar in rough application is not possible. I also miss a protective cap for the contact side, so you can help yourself with an adhesive strip.
There are more robust metal sticks with key chain or carabiner.

Hi, for the answer, you’d have to find someone who has exactly the stick on the keychain. See if you find something in Amazon.
There does not seem to be a protective cap, then of course, dirt can come in.
1. The thing doesn’t weigh anything – it probably keeps the eye out loose.
2.) Sure: without a cap, the dirt collects in there.
