Will it help if I buy a new receiver for my TV?

My television is a bit older. It was purchased around 2010-2012. The television has a built-in receiver. For some time now, it hasn't been able to find any channels. I only have four (Das Erste, SWR, etc.). A good friend and expert installed a new satellite dish for me a few years ago. For a long time, everything worked perfectly. But for the past six months, I've barely been receiving anything…

Perhaps the satellite dish is also defective or incorrectly aligned.

You can also reset the TV.

In my eyes, a new receiver wouldn’t bring anything.

Possible reasons for receiving weakness:

  • the bowl is adjusted (by wind, or popping pigeons)
  • The receiving head (LNB) is defective (this is most likely!)
  • a possible multi-switch is defective

Is that the one common gun or do you have your own and know what’s on that roof?
The roof can certainly be entered from a roof hatch. Of course, a TV company can repair and replace the bowl.

A tip of money can save:
Most rooftops also know how to check, build or repair a bowl. Maybe you’ve got someone in the acquaintance who can help you in a good price?
