Is it possible to tame wild rats?

I have about 30 rats in the garden and one came towards me and it was at my feet, the poor thing needed help. Its stomach was squashed with wire. I stood up and wanted to get a bucket or leather gloves and then it ran away. They have a burrow with a tunnel system so I can get closer and closer and try to take them without them running away, for example with leather gloves or barbecue tongs. Nothing falls into the rain barrel anymore and not into the live trap either, they know they're lost there, they've learned that now none of them wants to go in there. I think maybe the rat infestation isn't so bad then the bird of prey will get full or the predator will get lucky. I think it's very difficult for a predator to get a rat, except maybe if a maggot goes into a rat burrow.

No, please don’t pick up any of the wild rats with you. If they’re young, they can be tender. But the wildness comes through again. Then they won’t be touched. Then you can barely clean up the cage because they’re leaving.

I speak from experience. My friend had a rat, normally bred as a pet. She was paired with a wild rat. I took two of the kids. At first everything was great. The two sisters were very tender. These were my guesses and my last one I had from the animal shelter.

When they got a few months older, the papa came through. Four weeks they made my room unsafe, lived behind and on the wall of the closet. They’ve been clean. I borrowed a living trap from a well-known family. That’s what I captured her again.

If you’re really interested in holding a rat, create a normal color roast. With a good breeder, you could get two puppy siblings. Two sisters are least complicated. Or you’re just looking at the shelter. Give him a chance. Maybe you’ll get some of them that are already together. For it is actually more beautiful for rattis. You’ll wonder how creepy these animals are.

If you see the injured animal again, don’t wait long, just grab. She might be scared at first. If she realizes that you don’t hurt her, she’ll be holding. You could take her to the vet like that… I find it hard to say, leave the mother nature. But let her go when she’s fit again.

Yeah, that’s possible, because rats are very smart.

You have to teach them that you don’t do them, but what can take a while, lG.
