WiFi from the socket?

Good evening,

Just a question for anyone who knows a lot about this:

I always have a very bad network in my room, and the Wi-Fi there is anything but good, even when I use an amplifier, since my room is in the basement and the connection is not that good.

I have a LAN connection on my PC, but it doesn't work well with my mobile phone.

My question is, is it worth getting a homespot like this?

Where the WiFi comes directly from the socket, so to speak?

Does anyone have experience with this?

If so, doesn't the device also need a good network?

Thank you!

Kind regards

Your problem is

Wi-Fi is everything but good there,
even if I use an amplifierbecause my room is in the UG and the connection is not so good.

See point 5

Here is a list of very good data transfer, to leave the fingers of it.

1 Lan cable

is not beaten, perpendicular to the stairs or horizontally along the ceiling. Even the cheapest barbars have 2 grooves for cable guidance. There are now flat ones that fit into the door.

, For laminate it becomes more difficult. There you have to drill An option are strong magnets that there are in about (5mm) a few of them in a thin slice of a string. on the other side also those. then pull the cable carefully through the hole, then close it behind and then furniture adhesive film.

But not all door frames are massively foamed. If a page goes out there.

Should it necessarily go up/down. On a staircase you can trick a ed tape as safety light with motion detector over it. Or you put a knife plant and pull the cable straight up.

2 Accesspoint

, can also be an old router, a repeater, which must then be set up. They’ll get the signal over a Lan cable and then give Wlan out.

3 mesh

4 Dlan. Is that what you call hotspot

an adapter becomes a single one! plugged near the router and then gets the signal via Lan cable from the router. He sends this into the power grid of the second or more adapters then give you, no matter what power outlet from the house, Wlan.

It doesn’t always work. (here it is at point 4) but that it is an ingenious variant. You should try. Order adapter online, you have right to return.

5 repeaters.

Since normal, even the simplest speedports of Deutsche Telekom (some came from the A&V 20€) make good 12/13 m, most of them is pointless money.

Repeaters are often referred to as Wlan amplifiers in sale. That makes KD have little idea of matter, of course. You can’t strengthen the Wlan. German routers send full Wlan strength. Repeaters set up a new Wlan network. But what is problematic with simple repeaters.

You must

  • see the router what does not work by walls
  • To the router be far enough to not disturb each other (wlan hates Wlan)
  • close enough to get about 50% Wlan strength from the router.
  • Far enough to not break the Wlan from the router

You got an apartment. Then come from the neighbors around Wlan and then the repeater comes to it. There is less Wlan strength than without repeater.

Further sources of interference for the Wlan.

  • All other radio networks Wlan, Bluethoote, Babyfone, Alexa and her colleagues. Headphones without cable.
  • Microwaves
  • The one you have on the basement ceiling.
  • plasterboard,
  • Water pipes in the wall behind the router.
  • Walls, The Wlan mirror

I have my PC with LAN

If the PC is connected to the router via cable (without any network adapter for radio or using the power line as a data cable)….

who or what prevents you from connecting a 5-port switch to this cable, connecting your PC to the switch and using a WLAN access point that provides you with your own WLAN?

Where the WLAN comes directly from the outlet, so to speak?

This is a DLAN adapter you should avoid. There is enough a badly undisturbed electric device on the same phase and the connection of DLAN is there.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!, here again all terms are used incorrectly.

Wireless local area network. Local FUNKNETZWERK. That’s what the family router does. Wi-Fi does not come from the outlet. At most, you could torment Ethernet data via the power lines, which is called DLAN. A DLAN endpoint is connected to the router on one side via LAN, and then you have the corresponding DLAN item that either provides Ethernet for your network cable or WLAN for your mobile phone.

But is a nasty freeze solution with the stability of an autoblinker: go – don’t go – don’t go.

Yes, even these homespots either access the mobile network or (in rare cases) access hidden WLAN networks from the operator.

The best solution would probably be to open a permanently active hotspot with your PC. If your PC has no WLAN function, you need to upgrade a corresponding PCIe card.

If your PC has Wi-Fi, you can turn on a hotspot on your PC. Then the PC radiates a WLAN for the mobile phone, with the data running via the LAN connection.
