Only 2 bars is leaner.

Try to improve Wi-Fi reception by positioning the Wi-Fi antenna more freely.

WLAN is radio, and radio waves are similar to light beams, all that is between WLAN router and WLAN receiver, makes “fall shadow” and the reception gets worse.

Turn PC times so that the WLAN antennas have as free as possible “sight” direction WLAN routers.

The WLAN router itself should also get free visibility, so increased on a shelf or cabinet is always better.

Metallic larger objects are obstacles (Blech PC housings, radiators, grids, aluminum foils, …) on the radio connection. Funk never goes around the corner, it always goes straight between router and receiver and must pass through all obstacles on this imaginary airline.

Otherwise, check the WLAN adapter once if it is good at all (Wifi 5 should be at least).

Good luck!

Well, Wlan has some sources of interference that you have to deal with

  • location of the router,
  • All other wireless networks Wlan(The neighbor, simple repeater) , Bluetooth, Babyfone, Alexa and their colleagues. Headphones without cable.
  • Microwaves
  • Steel ceilings
  • plasterboard,
  • Water pipes in the wall behind the router.
  • Walls, The Wlan mirror
