Why do you choose such songs for the SWR1 hit parade?

Hello everyone! 👋🏻

I'm a big fan of the SWR1 hit parade, but sometimes I really get a crisis.

I'm a big Queen fan, but I can understand if you don't like it, because it's so idiosyncratic, but how, HOW, can you choose such "songs" ( it's a disgrace to the music to call it a "song" ):

  • Highway – Power Plant
  • Almost everything by Pink Floyd
  • Etc.

So to all of you who choose such miserably long, crooked things: why?

Thanks in advance for your opinions 📻.

So I’m Queen fan since I’m 6 years old and that’s 30/40+ years ago! XD

But “Autobahn” from power plant is gigantically good and you can actually hear almost everything from Pink Floyd! ♥

Therefore, you may have only a different musical taste than we “old people”…!? o_O

in such places, something you don’t like

And 2023 was Queen on 1 , even the oat and banana blues have beaten.

And as it looks, 2024 is not big different

I’m Pink Floyd Fan and don’t think it’s cool what you’re writing about her. But all that his are slanted, they aren’t.

Because they’re good and not slanted! There should also be people who say Taylor Swift makes good music,so we must live with it!

You don’t have a musical hearing that’s Synthy and Electro Sounds or Industrial, you can understand such mainstream people as you don’t!Suum Cuique!

There is still the theory that such music is to be understood only with certain consciously expanded substances. As similar to Micky Krause or Jürgen Drews only works correctly from 3 promille.

Micky Krause and Pink flöyd are about as comparable to beer and grass… but the concept is based on the fact that you understand the music without tools is already similar

So to compare Micky Krause and Pink Floyd is cheerful. 😃

Don’t get the question.

SWR1 Hitparade

and

Highway – power plant, almost everything from Pink Floyd

Why do you expect anything else? It’s immanent.

It was a question.

What MAN finds is a question of taste. But once again SWR1-Hitparade implies in itself the exact same flavor. Ask me why they like if you don’t get along with the taste?

There are simple and more complicated tastes. Manch music listeners hear a song to have a result after three minutes. Others listen to music to hear music; then it may be a little longer or more complicated. The music forms a sound landscape or is like a journey; the latter is in particular in the case of “autobahn” program. The journey is the destination.

In principle, the short songs are abnormal. Because in our history, the celebrated composers did not write 3 minute pieces, but more so evening-filling works. Of course, there were also short folk orphans for the peasant folk or church songs with several musically constant verses, each of which does not require any particular complexity tolerance. Bach and Beethoven would listen to Genesis and Pink Floyd today rather than Queen with his shrill nerve saw guitar :o)

I was very happy this year that Close to the Edge was placed.

You have to hear it several times to get a foot in the door, which is not so easy at 18 minutes length. Once you’ve done this, it’s a song you can always hear, while most short songs have eventually dulled by too much hearing for someone.

P.S.: Maybe you just set the volume too low?
