Why do US films convey such a false image of the United States?

Especially young people who are completely blinded by the Hollywood industry dream of this high school life.

You often read this in questions, but even adults imagine it would be easy to just move to the USA and work in the LA entertainment industry.

But why is the US image of Germans still so influenced by Hollywood?

It is precisely the naivety of the emigrants at the beginning that leads them to come back after a few months.

Do people really only learn about US life from films, allow themselves to be blinded, and then are taken by surprise by the reality of America?

But there are also emigrants who have managed it.

These films serve propaganda. For this they are made to reach their goal for the good quality.

The U.S. still has an instrument through the Greencard draw that blue-eyed immigrants who do not know the country can live and work legally there. No matter what conditions the immigrants bring. There are, of course, always those who do not pack this up and those who need the long starting times.

A well-trained, for example, who has already completed a semester abroad or internships there, has a few visits behind him and knows what comes to him, he will hardly have any problems.

He simply pulls around and doesn’t make such a gedöns about when he moves back, then to the next country with many experiences in the baggage and many of them then land again in Germany or Europe.

and many of them also land in Germany

Unfortunately only when they are old and/or sick! Then the German passport and our solidarity system will fall to them, which they have liked to miss in good years.

This happens, but if they had good jobs, they also paid into the Solidar System in other countries and benefit from it.

In so far as these countries have solid funds, they then also have entitlement to these cash registers. More often the case is that there are no/lower solid funds and the private pension is ” overlooked”.

If assets have been transferred, of course, this will not be reported after returning to Germany, otherwise no state support will take place. This then flows into consumption……

The emigrants who make it usually saved enough financial resources, have a plan and have been on site for a few times. But there are really various who want to emigrate and have never traveled the country. Then often ideas from films serve as a basis and that can only go svhuef. Also applies to other emigration countries.

The appearance of the films and a short holiday stay is not enough to recognize a country….then, many fail with their inexorable dreams…

Because these films are a kind of propaganda and want to convey a seeming world of so great USA in all.

In the films, other countries are shown almost always less well or people from other countries.

Germans are almost always Nazis, Russians brutal and corrupt, Italian mafiosi, people from the Near East zb Syria etc terrorists, often also people from China or Japan, people from African countries primitive, also French are often clichéds presented only the Amis themselves are always heroic, wise, courageous and save the world etc.

If you can think about something, you should be able to distinguish between film and reality. Emigration is not just no matter what country
