Why does it hurt to insert a tampon?
I've had my period for almost a year. I've never used a tampon before, but I finally wanted to try it. I specifically used the mini tampon, but I can only get the tip in, and if I keep trying, it hurts a lot. Now, even though I don't have it in, it hurts when I pee. Can someone tell me why and what I'm doing wrong?
Hi :-
In the beginning I had my difficulties with the introduction of a tampon, but with time you get a feeling for it and once you have the technique, it is no problem anymore;-)
A problem why it could not have worked out would be that you tried to introduce the tampon while your period was just a bit too weak. As a result, your vagina is naturally much more dry and the tampon has much more friction from your vaginal wall, which naturally leads to pain. So try it again the next time you really have your period.
With the mini-tampons you should definitely keep trying. These are ideal for young girls 🙂
But how exactly does this work with introduction?
There are different positions that can facilitate the insertion of the tampon. One way, for example, would be if you put a leg on the edge of the bathtub. You could also help if you were lying flat on your back on a comfortable base or in your bed and would try to introduce the tampon. The third possibility would be the position in the hockey. To have a closer look, you can also use a small hand mirror for help. That sometimes a little bit twitches when inserting the tampon is quite normal. You shouldn’t have severe pain. So try to practice carefully if you should have your days next time. If you feel that it should not go any further, try to change the direction; but only if you have no severe pain. You need, just at the beginning, a lot of patience and a little fingertip feeling. You can’t leave your head in any case just because it didn’t work right away at the beginning. It takes some time and exercise until it works and it will sooner or later also do with you. At any rate try to be relaxed and breathe deep beforehand. This often helps miracles;-)
Maybe the video on this link can help you.

Sometimes it’s just a head thing that doesn’t work right now. Do not try to put yourself under stress and pressure too much, because it often works the least. I’m sure it’ll work with you soon too:-)
I hope I could help you a little with my answer. If you have any questions or need help, you can send me a friend request at any time and send me a personal message 🙂

Go to the hocke and try. If it still hurts off to the female doctor – that can be a sign of vaginaism.
You can apply to the top of the tampon gliding gel / little water to better introduce it. You have to be relaxed or it doesn’t work.
hmm, maybe it’s because you’re too dry. If you’re bleeding more easily then it can be that this is blowing in, so I would recommend you to use tampons only if you really bleed stronger. otherwise go into the hocke, do something slippery on it and slowly push it in, and very importantly: relax and have geduld introduce at the first!
I would have said it similar to Larix123, but I would have added the following.
If you’ve still had Nie GV/Sex, it can be good that you’re still a virgin and still have a bachelor’s skin, which might make it difficult for you to introduce a tampon into the vagina.
Did you see if you found the right hole below? The hole of the vagina/skin is somewhat larger than that of the urethra.
To do this, the vagina can also widen, so you have to feel it if you say that you don’t get it right to introduce a tampon, please go to a female doctor who will explain why it doesn’t work or what you do wrong.
I Selber had not had problems with this when I first used tampons at that time, but unfortunately it had to be removed from the tampon because the band at the tampon was torn off, which I also found very shameful at that time, but the female doctor sometimes said that you had such stupid tampons, where the band was simply not properly processed and then you were torn off or quickly solved the problem. The small band, which you can otherwise easily see in the hair of the Scharm and without which it interferes, can be attached so that you can remove it again after use.
For example, if the juvenile skin tears through GV/Sex, there is no virgin, but it can be good to introduce a tampon. Clearly it hurts very much when the bachelor skin tears, no question that can hurt only after a few hours or 1-3 days.
Uff, I’m not an expert, but I guess that’s because the young lady is tearing. Is normal, don’t worry, stop hurting abnormally:/
You don’t have to use tampons if you don’t want to, otherwise you just have to bite your teeth for a while and then it’s going, but hm.
Hope that it is & nothing bad 🤍

Thank you.
