Why do I always have to enter my PIN when paying with a card?
Hey guys, girls & so on,
As you probably know, I never have cash and therefore constantly have to pay with my card (by holding it on the card, not inserting it or swiping it). Over the last six months, I've noticed that I have to enter my PIN EVERY time. With one exception: Espresso House does NOT require a PIN. It's not the amount. The 50-cent birthday card at Rossmann requires a PIN, as does the €37 purchase at Netto, but not the €5 coffee at Espresso House. Why is that? Is there any way to set it so that it works more often without a PIN?

I don’t know what it is with the espresso house. But you only have a certain number of contactless choices without PIN. This is for security. In order to set the counter back to zero, the card must be inserted into a reader and then the PIN must be entered. Try out.
I’m not sure if I’m confused now, don’t pay with card, but I think that when the card is stolen, nobody can buy anything with it. But why you don’t have to admit anything about coffee I don’t know
It’s more of a security measure of the bank. Because of this, it has become easier to pay with stolen or found cards. You pay a lot of card and so you’ll be sure that you are too and so you just have to enter the pin. It’s not a great deal now. Then why it wasn’t like buying coffee, I don’t know exactly. Perhaps the company
( An employee of my bank once explained it to me like that)
I’m referring to the bank and the daily limit for contactless numbers. Possibly adjustable in the home banking app.
Depending on what card it is, contactless payments without PIN entry may be limited in their number or in their summed amount.
This counter can be reset by a payment with a card and PIN input or a payout on the ATM.
I already did. Simply put the card in next time, then the counter should be reset and it should work without contact again without PIN.
