Why can't you do internships at the BND?

I was considering doing an internship with the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) as part of my studies. The gentleman at the careers desk right outside the entrance to headquarters said it wasn't possible for security reasons. But how do you know if the profession is right for you? My degree takes a total of seven years. Are there no alternatives for getting a glimpse? I didn't ask any further questions because I had to go.

Are there any alternatives to gaining some insight into the civil service? Perhaps you have experience with them?

The BND does not offer internships because the work is too sensitive. The BKA has similar restrictions. Alternatives could be internships with ministries, constitutional protection or other authorities. There you get an insight into the public service.

You just want to sniff in the secret service.? Your question alone is a NoGo… either you stand behind or not. But look for something else.

You are aware that you can only study “civil” and then start with them later?

Zb. Informatik, Mathe, Physics, Geosciences and then with Bachelor at those beginnings.
