Why is the recombination of radicals unfavorable?

Why is the recombination of two radicals energetically unfavorable in radical substitution? I actually assumed the opposite, since the molecule resulting from the recombination should actually emerge from the recombination with lower energy and thus more stable. I'm a bit confused…

Thank you very much ^^

Energeticly unfavorable for the termination of the reaction.

When 2 bromine radicals unite, energy becomes free, and the energy causes the excited molecule to tear apart again.

The excess energy must therefore be emitted as photon or by impact processes. Both do not happen so easily and not immediately.

U.U. is also required to reverse spin, but I’m overwhelmed with details.
