Hey,

Because they are particularly well adapted to be active at night? ;-))

By mutation, there might have been specimens that had particularly good eyes and that has developed so. I could imagine.

2 reasons: they have more sticks than takactive animals and 2. they have a mirror-like layer behind the eye, the wallpaper.
