Why get a class B driving license when there is a B197?
Hey,
My driving school has just offered me the opportunity to switch from a B license to a B197 driving license contract, as it can still take a long time until I can get my first driving lesson with a B license due to the traffic department being overloaded.
A week ago I was advised to switch my contract to the B197 because the waiting times there are much shorter.
With the B197, you are allowed to drive both manual and automatic and even take the test in automatic.
So I ask myself why one should even do the classic B when there seems to be such a simple and better option.
Is the B197 more expensive or does it have any disadvantages?

I see.
It’s not fortunate to me, so I think the B197 is the best option.
This is only true when you want to hire a transporter for a move or something. Then there are long faces
You have to know. You need at least ten driving hours with manual transmission and then have to make an observation ride with the driving instructor. Money -> window.
Well, if they are below 3.5 tos, I can also drive them manually with a B197, that is not the problem then.
For everything about this, I have to make an extension just like the normal car B class driver.
The typical rental sprinters have 3.49 to and you can still drive them with the B guide ticket. There are also larger transporters – but not just
To be able to drive these classes with manual transmission, the practicaldriving licenceon theVehicle with manual transmissionare stored.
You got B, you got an extension. With the B197 you have to make the complete driver’s license again.
If I decide to extend the driver’s license for BE, I can make the driver’s license quite normal and then I will also put it in the switch, then it can be different if I make the normal car B in the switch and then extend it to the BE and also drop it there.
Do you understand what I mean?
I and I understood it too.
But I do so or so the car class B197 driving licence, if I need a transporter for a move, I would have to get the driving licence for this weight class first, or so, and then I will do the test in manual transmission if it is so far.
No, read the quote again.
MWith a classic B driving licence, do I have the same problem?
Hey,
You can only drive automatic with the 197er, with B you can both.
LG
You can also drive the 197 switch
Greeting back.
Yes, but not directly after the exam, as is the case with B.
@Clemony This is wrong. With B197 you can drive both. You can only not drive any additional classes on circuit that is the only restriction.
I taught it that way. Either that has changed, or my instructors have said that wrong. complain to them, not with me.
That’s not true 🙂
Boy you mean the only automatic training where you get the key number 78 registered that has nothing to do with b197.
Yeah.
I don’t complain, but you could have informed yourself about a subject beforehand via Google. 😊 So everything is good! I just wanted to get you up to date. 😊 Nevertheless I wish you happy Christmas. 😊
Well, then.
No, I don’t think I’m concerned.
