Why fake exhaust?

Well, very good question. Fact is only: One has started with the childish bullshit (my observation was the Honda at the Civic of the 8th generation in 2005), and the others just do it. This is quite similar to the downsizing: One starts with 3 instead of 4 cylinders, and almost all do it. Or with missing impact strips on the doors and bumpers. Or with non-integrated recuperators at the rear. Or with screens in the interior, which look as installed afterwards. Or with missing coolant temperature indications. Or, or, or ( surely gives more many examples). I think it’s always funny how the same people would have beaten their unfunctioning Bobbycar glares while they would have been refitted on an old VW Polo.

particularly powerful engines have 2 manifold outlets, i.e. the exhaust gases are divided into 2 exhausts.
From behind it then makes the impression that the motor vehicle concerned is also highly motorized.

For the same reason, sound generators are also used. The vehicle is supposed to sound horny and look like that. But this is hardly acoustic with a modern motor.

This must be so that the target group feels addressed – these poor souls.

EU directives

Really? Let’s see the relevant directive, which forces us to apply unreal blinds to the rear. And what more interesting would be: why don’t all vehicles have it? Did the directives not apply to all?

It applies to diesel cars, so Audi zb only has the S models with diesel

No, even with diesel cars, there is not this requirement. If you could have known that there are also diesel engines without a fake exhaust. And even: With what reason should a law prescribe a specific design?
