How would you find that?
Hello everyone,
This August, a Lufthansa Airbus A340 diverted to Cologne/Bonn Airport. This aircraft was parked on apron F1, which normally only accommodates cargo aircraft. The problem is that Cologne Bonn Airport is not designed to accommodate large aircraft like an A340 at the passenger terminal. The cargo positions for FedEx, DLH, UPS, etc., are designed for larger aircraft like the Boeing 747, Boeing 767, Boeing 757, etc.
How would you feel about getting off between cargo planes and seeing that all the other passengers can get off somewhere else?
As long as no chickens flutter around me or any cargo barcode sticks on me, I’d rather care. Better than crashing with the plane somewhere because he couldn’t land at the destination airport.
What are you talking about here?
Of course, an A340 can also be manufactured at the CGN at the terminal!
The deviating parking position will have had other reasons, especially such extra-planned escape landings rarely go to a gate position.
If he deviates, it is out of schedule and there is usually a good reason for it. The evasive would probably disturb me more.
In Düsseldorf, I have been boarded several times about the forefront, I find it all but what to do.
I’d be so stupid. They can also leave us on the runway if the airport wants this.
Personally, it doesn’t matter where I get out, as I get to my destination/home
I would also like to see the cargo from the airport
It’s interesting. I think that’s great.
It doesn’t matter
