The animals are hung on the feet, on the treadmill it goes down with the head through a water bath (set under current). Immediately after that, two rotating knife discs separate the head, the chicken bleeds out.

For example, in the case of hand slaughter it can be stunned, in which you hold it on your feet and make it dizzy with a circular arm. The blood rises into the head, the animal becomes unconscious. Just as fast as in industry, a single blow with the bell and the head is off.

I know this from the German industry in terms of flow: they are suspended and fixed over the head, dipped with the head into a water bath under current, so that they are stunned and then the head is cut off by a continuous saw band and they bleed out.

There is the animal welfare slaughter order, where it is determined which animals in which species may be polluted and killed.

The individual processes are also described.
