How far away is my reflection (see text)?
I'm standing 50 cm in front of a mirror! Do I see my image from 50 cm away, or from 1 m? The light travels 1 m (as far as I know), but the image shows me as others would see or perceive me from 50 cm away, or am I wrong?
Example, to clarify the question: I'm standing 50 cm away from another person. Does he/she see me the way I see myself in the mirror from the same distance, or would I have to stand 25 cm in front of the mirror to see myself the way the other person sees me, from 50 cm away?
I hope my question is, at least somewhat, understandable.

No, like 1m. The mirror person is seen at 1m distance, so the mirror person also sees the original person at 1m distance.
The virtual image in the mirror is 1 m away. You look like someone else saw you from a distance of 1 m.
