Hi! Psd2, Payment Services Directive No 55 No.3 regulates the termination period: at least 2 months, see here:

https://lexparency.de/eu/PSD-II/ART_55/

In practice, this is happening more often due to the refusal of the AGB approval, as one takes the two months.

Shorter notice periods will be required for fraud, money laundering or the like, longer notice periods can be agreed

Gruss

The bank must hold a period of at least two months when a current account is cancelled, unless there are any special reasons.

Legal basis: § 675h (2) BGB

According to AGBs, two months by bank.

The customer can terminate at any time without notice.

There are over 300 savings banks in DE, and each can have their own AGBs.
For an important reason, my savings bank can terminate without notice.

There are legal deadlines that must be adhered to. This has nothing to do with the AGB’s.

You’ve already read what I wrote? “For an important reason.”… I have not received any other deadlines, because the FS can read to its bank itself.

For an important reason, the bank has to keep the 3 months. This is regulated by law. The deadline is also in the letter.

You have three months. The bank also writes when it closes your account

It’s in dismissal. Current accounts are available daily, but mostly cancelled at the end of the month.
