How do I access my external hard drive?

Hello, I inherited an external hard drive. I can play the content (movies) on my TV. When I connect the hard drive to the PC, it isn't recognized. I want to continue using the drive for the PC. What can I do? Thanks for further information.
In itself, I think it’s the first mistake to make a hard drive.
For the 1st hard drive lengths 1 TB.
Two TBs should be enough for the rest.
comes to Pc and budget
In principle as well as how the first number of 4 fails
so up to 999 Euro 0.5 Tb at leastetsens
from 1000 Euro 1 Tb
from 1500 1,5Tb
from 2000 TB etc.
With the size of the games nowadays, 1TB is fast full, you should already grab 2TB. But I have almost 2TB full myself, at some point I’ll build up more up-to-date SSDs and then build up 4TB for games.
Hello!
For my new computer (R7-5700x, 32GB DDR4 (3600MHz, Cl.16) I plan a 1TB Nvme SSD and 1TB Sata3-SSD.
(from my “friend”) 4TB Sata3-HDD.
That should be enough for now.
Greeting
Martin
There is no general answer.
You spend as much as you need.
There are users who come out with 250 GB, then there are those who need 8 TB or much more.
You need to decide what the PC is used and what you want to save about it and find their information you are looking for your SSD
Depends on the application.
So iwo between 0.5tb and a petabyte everything is possible.
Lg
Well, petabyte won’t give it any form of SSD…. But just wanted to clarify that you buy storage after application and not just so.
Will come as safe as the Amen in the church!
When I started with an Atari many years ago, everyone laughed when I spoke of memory (there were disks meant at that time) in the GB area.
A few years later, I was in a training as a programmer and in DOS International you found advertising for the first Consumer HDD with a GB storage space for say and write 9999 DM.
What’s gotten out today, everyone knows who’s watching the scenes.
At the moment, 16TB HDDs and 8TB SSDs are readily available at Amazon, and with a doubling every 2 years, you can assume that 1 PB is available as SSD in about 10 years – with the current AI advances probably even much more.
1 is, in my opinion, too little, as many games sometimes really need a lot of storage space.
2 are also always quite favorable.
As much as you like to spend.
You should already call the application to get a reasonable answer.
