How much coffee a day is still okay?
I (17, F) have been enjoying coffee for a while now, usually 3-4 large cups a day and a bit more on the weekends. Sometimes even just before bed. However, I'm wondering if that might be too much, or if there's a general limit where it becomes unhealthy for the body?
This depends on various factors such as your health, compatibility and sensitivity to caffeine. In general, however, moderate amounts of coffee of about 3-4 cups per day are considered safe for most people.
I drank one in my old job right after getting up, then I was showering and drank another while I finished. Then I made a coffee for the ride, and when I arrived, I drank a coffee first. Then a cup every hour. On average 2 liters a day. Custom is everything. If you exaggerate it, you suddenly get tired.
Now there’s a thermospot with fruit tea and I drink a lot of tea and almost no more coffee.
It goes with and without coffee;)
It does not come to coffee alone, but to the amount of caffeine:
How much coffee is too much?
But as always, it comes to the dose. Single doses of up to 200 milligrams of caffeine, i.e. about two cups of filter coffee one behind the other, the EFSA considers safe for healthy adults. A caffeine quantity of up to 400 milligrams of caffeine distributed over the entire day is also harmless.
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 680/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2013 laying down detailed rules for the application of Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the common organisation of the market in fruit and vegetables (OJ L 347, 20.12.2013, p. 1).
It is unhealthy at the point where you become dependent. If you don’t have coffee for a day, you probably have headaches next day. Depending on the Wi Stark they are, maybe that’s problematic.
Depends on the strength, but this is still completely ok
I’ve been drinking 3-4 cups of coffee a day for years – without having any health consequences – because in my recent blood test all values were OK!
I heard of Andrew Tate he drinks 12 and therefore he is productive. You have to guess for yourself.
Every day up to 5 cups of 150 ml were determined.
Stop when the shit starts getting thin.
