How much money should you set aside for self-employment?

And if there is anyone among you who is self-employed… Did you become self-employed part-time or directly?

I want to become self-employed. But since it's a huge step, I'm naturally a little nervous about it. Especially financially.

It’s not that wild. Bzw. it depends very much on what you want to do yourself. If you want to establish a mechanical engineering company, you probably need a lot of capital. If you want to do yourself with a food truck, still a lot. If you want to do yourself as a photographer, you need a camera that you probably already have.

So it depends on what you need. Self-employment costs only a few euros. If you have a permanent job, start a secondary job first. The health insurance contributions can otherwise become very violent. But this also depends, of course, on your business idea, the prospects for success and your reserves.

Had luck and my previous employer had a lot of understanding.

So I could just keep reducing my workload until I finally stopped there.

Depending on the type of independence, equity is not necessary. You need to find lenders and convince them that you are working seriously on the project. There have always been people who had an extraordinary idea, but no money. And they also had the personality, which one entrusted the implementation.

Maybe you’re such a guy. But if you have the glorious thought of opening up the oily dungeon in your gravel, it will only help you equity.
