Hatte Rostpanzerwelse, die haben sich nicht vermehrt, auch über Jahre nicht.
dabei hätten die ein interessantes Paarungsverhalten.
Das Männchen umwirbt das Weibchen, und wenn sie bereit ist, nehmen sie eine typische T-Position ein, wobei das Männchen das Weibchen mit dem Kopf unter ihrem Bauch positioniert. Das Weibchen legt dann einige Eier, die sie in einer Grube zwischen ihren Flossen hält, während das Männchen diese befruchtet. Anschließend klebt das Weibchen die Eier an Pflanzen oder Dekorationen im Aquarium.

Panzerwelse werden ihre Eier an die Pflanzen oder die Scheibe deines Aquariums kleben. Diese kannst du dann absammeln und in ein Aufzuchtbecken oder einfach ein Gefäß an der Wasseroberfläche tun. Mulm hilft auch, dadrin finden die Jungen Futter. Täglich einen Wasserwechsel machen.
Nachdem sie geschlüpft sind fütterst du sie mit feinem Lebendfutter bis sie größer sind. Dann fressen sie irgendwann auch Fertigfutter.
