How to become more independent from money?

Hi!

The situation is a little more difficult to formulate and it is not my intention to brag or present myself as someone better!

My parents are quite wealthy and have more than enough money. However, they also taught me how to manage on a tight budget and that money isn't everything. Nevertheless, money is of course very important to me, and it's always a factor in my career choice. I could take over the family business and become even richer than my parents, but that doesn't fully reflect my interests, and I have a dream job. It's not bad to earn (around 10-15k gross per month), but it'll never compare to my parents' money. That's understandable, though.

Still, the money has spoiled me a bit. I wouldn't be able to afford that special vacation later on, or even a really nice house or something similar.

My parents would then invest €400,000 for me as retirement insurance in about 10 years, which I think is a good idea. But I don't want any further financial support myself, as I don't want to live off my parents' money…

Well, I do get financial support while I study, but after that I don't want it anymore.

I'm going to inherit a lot, too, that's for sure. But I want it to last a very long time, because my parents are much more important to me than all the money in the world!

My question is difficult to formulate. But I hope you understand it…

How can I be less dependent on money and still pursue my dream career without always having the other option of making a lot of money in the back of my mind? How can I become more independent, so to speak?

Hey,

How about a year of work-and-travel? And, of course, consciously dispense with extra money?
Is there anything you can think of yourself?

And, of course, if one has become accustomed to a standard of living, then that is “normal” and any deviation down is already a great abandonment.

Greeting

Yes, of course, it doesn’t have to be a whole year.

“My parents don’t think that’s so great”
Well, the expectation. Of course.

You should ask yourself if money really makes you so happy and it’s so important to you to make a job that you don’t like.

Great holiday great apartment that is beautiful but that’s why you do a job that doesn’t give you any fun that you need to know yourself.

I spend a net amount of 1700 Euros and I work part-time in full-time, I would earn a little over 2000, but leisure is more important to me than money.

However, from earlier on, I also saved a lot and have shares that pay me extra dividends so 200–300 a month and that will be a little more in the future.

Otherwise, I would be really afraid of the pension. But I am actually quite satisfied with just over 2000 euros a small apartment a car and drive 1X a year on vacation and have a lot of leisure.

I know people who are actually less satisfied. So, if you have 10-15k brutto a month, you should ask yourself if more money really makes you happier and I don’t think so. That your parents have no longer plays a role there are always those who have more but they are therefore not much happier in life.

How much money do you need for your desired lifestyle?

More than 10-15k?

Let’s get out of here, get out on all the money and see how it is when you’re out of everything.

Work nicely next to studying for your 8m2 WG and that you can feed on frames.

It’ll be fast.

Yeah, you should study something else.

And I have to go to the Paulanergarten, my 28 year old mother, who is multiple selfmade billionaire, waiting for me. I went shopping yesterday and she forgot bread in my car.

Truffle bread for 4000€ the KG.

Then you’ll take your studies to the length.

why can’t you work normally again?

Yeah, you can do it all in a row. You have time to look for jobs.

No, you can’t do training and practice semester at the same time. These are also different content.

Once you write, you do a practical semester, then the 20 months of training goes and you come to 4 practical semesters. But these are not deducted from the 8 semesters at the university.

Ever heard of nautics? Usually with 2-3 practical semesters. But I do a training that goes 20 months 🤷🏼 -> 4 practical semester

No, you can’t do training and practice semester at the same time. These are also different content.

The trainings are already 19 months (accompanied by the captain) and the study period of 8 semesters (if you are all at once).

malteabc

Then you’re still a lot of semesters at university. You can’t get through with 8 semesters. There’s some training time on it. Ergo, you can already find a job, because that’s what it was.

Study of the Nautics and at the same time training as the ship mechanic/nautical officer assistant is not possible. It’s not too timen. You can’t be at university and at the same time complete the training on the ship.

Nautical I know very well. But that’s just two practical semesters. A training at the same time is not possible.

Then tell me what study this is.

In 4 years 3-4 practice semester? What are you dreaming about?

Incello

Yes and the professor will travel with you and teach you the teachings?

I don’t think you really know how a study is going.

Like the main student?

My question is difficult to formulate. But I hope you understand….

But very easy to answer with only three words:

Learn, bar, live!

Who has learned can show performance and live on the success of performance.

You should understand that.

This even works without studying!

Just start learning, doing and then living.

You had nothing to do with your parents’ alms.

Learn eagerly, then you will be tidy and will then have money for your dream life.

There are actually most people in circles of “Normal” without millions or billions who also live content.

You’re writing mischief! Good money is earned by good people without being the richest of the rich in the world.

Are you still disgusting?

But I will never be able to achieve this in this case and others will never get it. But I could have gotten it

You can judge your own incapacity, that other successful people are not in any way equal to your inability.

Personal failure is the cause of the failure.

This is also good as an incentive for more education and performance.
