How to support tomatoes in pots?

I just stuck a bamboo cane in and loosely secured the plant with string in a few places. But now a third branch has grown out of the trunk (in the front of the photo).

Can I simply hang this branch on the bamboo pole or would it be better to put another pole in and attach it to that because otherwise it might become too unstable?

Or are there completely different methods for tomatoes in pots?

You can plug in another rod or attach it to the one already there. It is important that the whole is stable and nothing is bent on the plant.

You can Tomato plants even winter!

This plant has got a lot too little fertilization, it is not pickled out and you have sown them too late. Throw them into the compost and get a book about vegetable growing, then you can try again next year.

Tomatoes are annual and it is not enough because they are too muddy

But this plant is very weak. If you fertilize now, the branches break under the fruits that you cannot support individually.

It’s the wrong season now, how many more.

If you have a strong plant you can either take a thick stick or a cord
