But I’m trying to switch to the 10-finger system right now, as I think it’s much faster.

With right-handed words like “know” or “pull” I still have great problems, as my right hand has a very bad fine motor, as I had quite neglected them in the “freestyle” method.

Of course, there are words.
And I use an English keyboard for programming, there are ; ” [and { in the 10-finger system very easy to reach.

Why did you neglect your right hand? I use both hands relatively evenly in the freestyle mode.

And I have heard about the 10-finger system that it can only really defend itself with flow texts, for something like programming, the character combinations and word combinations are too unavoidable. I’ve never tried it.

With the right hand, it was quite simple (and it was also much faster) to tap only with index and middle fingers, so I got used to it.

Hmm, so with the German keyboard you’re certainly right, as you have to bend your fingers in the 10-finger system to write { [(“; etc…. But in English, I actually think it is faster with 10-finger system, because these keys are super easy to reach, and variable names etc. are also only English terms, there should not be much difference.

Do you have to practice blind? I think I could do this automatically after two weeks xD

there you come with only two fingers not far

So I come to 95 WPM for low profile keyboards, with mechanical with large buttons on 80 WPM. “Don’t come far” I wouldn’t call this now, is actually quite noticeable what you can create (blind) with 2 fingers.
(To be fair, at my left hand I use all 5 fingers – both hands only 2 fingers would probably be much slower.) (The difference between low and high profiles is why I think that I can simply slide the two fingers over the buttons in low profiles – in high profiles I have to raise them first)

I want to crack the 100 WPM, so I now learn the 10-finger system. A colleague of work can write about me as quickly as she speaks, that has motivated me a little 😀

And yes, the signs are where we have the umlaute. So hold (for people with good fine motors, unlike me) super easy to tap, just with the little finger.

At first, I’ve only tipped with the one/two fingers, but then at some point both hands were made of it:D Presumably, this is also related to the fact that I’ve always practiced the blind writing, so you don’t get far with just two fingers.

I can’t say anything about the English keyboard, but it would be possible. There are the most common signs where we have our umlaute, as far as I know?

Since I can tip.
I also use several fingers from both hands. How many at the same time I don’t know if I care about it, then I’ll get together.
I am also unusually fast, so probably not much slower, than with the 10-finger system.

After everything I know about the 10-finger system, that’s good. The 10-finger system is great for writing flow texts, but as soon as you often need special characters or use relatively little “normal” words, you get lost your fingers.

How long: No plan, 15 years.

Hi.

Yes – freestyle meets it very well. Never learned 10-finger, but always fixed at programming (even if it is called today).

I’m 62 now and make it since 1985 – that’s a long time.

Joa, with me my fingers have already been used too much to my method, what is worth learning is not worthwhile and so slowly I am not.

Age: 14 since when?: for 5 years, so since I am 9

Currently, I program on my package / framework, which makes the development for web games a lot easier. Here you can download it: https://webgamesetup.netlify.app/ In the Changelog you can see what I added all the time.

With this package I also develop a mobile game, which I have not yet offered for release.

Otherwise I haven’t done much more for the last 5 years. Most time only learned to apply in smaller projects, then here and there, etc.

I only recently started these two major projects with my great knowledge of javascript.

I used to make a 10-finger-writing workshop, but that was totally unintuitive. I write with 8 to 10 fingers, but not according to the actual system.

Dultus, UserMod Light

Like 10-fingers. It’s slower.

Can’t imagine it any more differently and I’m glad to be able to correct the errors immediately when programming, but also when writing flow texts!

should I measure? I already know a few people with longer, but also with shorter ones. So I would appreciate so in the upper third of the midfield

So I use tab very often and have no spelling error. But don’t use the style to write normally
