What does the career of an army officer in the Bundeswehr look like?

Since I plan to join the Bundeswehr after graduating from high school, I'm interested in what the career path of an officer looks like. Is there a general structure, or do career paths vary depending on the branch of service?

The only thing that can say about general construction is that (as of now) one is set 12-15 months before the start of the study and then the first courses are completed. At least depending on the force of partial dispute (Marine, Heer, Air Force), one can then give a more detailed answer.

Okay, so at the army, the basic training begins at the 01.07. In the same unit with the same comrades for six months, a battalion of one’s own troop is first made basic training and then special basic training (Zum Panzergrenadier, Artillerist, Pioneer etc.). After that you go to the troop school to the flagjunk course. For the first time, many officer-specific things like tactics, law and political education are learned. At the same time (soll) you will be trained as a group leader of your own troops and you should also be trained as a shooting instructor.
Then you can either go back to Dresden in English and then go back to his old unit for a leadership internship or otherwise. Shortly before the start of the study, all OAs of the vintage will be credited for the Heeres embossment module for a week after Dresden.
After that, you can study in Hamburg or Munich for 4 years. Depending on your studies, where you get involved and how the grades are, for example, in the summer months, you can go on training courses or also complete civil internships that have to do with your studies.
After 4 years of study, one is 4.5 months in Dresden for a more intensive tactics training. But there are also here again law and political but also military-historical education.
After that, the OL3 goes back to the troop school and we trained as a train driver and, depending on the body of the troops, still makes certain driving licences or perhaps the individual fighter course. It is planned for the first use. Ideally, the train driver is in his own troops and after half of the 13 years, one can finally make what one had applied for at the time.

Thus, the structure is essentially intended. You really don’t have to worry about everything that goes beyond the initial use at the moment, you’d remember it in the service.

You always have to commit at least 13 years. After that, you first pass the general basic training and the post training (or an equivalent further course). Then there are still smaller things like the flagjunk course, English course, a troop internship, etc. After you have everything behind you, it takes 15 months, it goes for you to one of the two universities of the Bundeswehr, where you are studying for four years and are also promoted to the officer in this time. If you leave the university, you’re a Lieutenant. Then you will complete courses such as the officer’s course 2, the trainer’s course and possibly the individual fighter’s course or similar and will then be used in your first military use, for example as a Deputy train guide, train guide, company officer or similar.
