Yes, there are actually different products. If you really need it, most of them can be done with one and the same.
But there are both latex detergents and latex dressing aids as well as latex polishing agents.
For example, I use BeGloss products.
These are “Special WASH LATEX detergents”, “Latex polish Perfect SHINE” and “Latex dressing aid EASY GLIDE”.
With the detergent, the latex is cleaned by hand. The latex is then washed again with clear water so that the remaining detergent is removed. Before the latex becomes dry, you should pull it again through a water bath where a small amount of Perfect SHINE is. As a result, a light oil film is deposited on the latex, which is good for the material and also prevents sticking together. If the latex is then beautifully dried, I personally turn it also during the dry between to the left so that it can really dry completely. It is then stored either hanging in the dark or put together in bags. For this I love the bags that are available at Simon O for any latex part. If you want to wear your latex, spray the inside of the latex and at least important body areas (peace, calf, etc) with EASY GLIDE so that it slides well into position. Perfect SHINE is applied to the outside again in order to get the gloss well from the outside. I would also like to take the latex polishing cloth from BeGloss. This is also for oiling if you stay longer in the latex quite practical.
But the EASY GLIDE can be dispensed with theoretically and done with Perfect SHINE.
And why does it have to be either in the dark or in bags? Can’t get any air or a normal daylight? So that there shouldn’t be any sun rays right up, I’m clear. But is the material broken when I just pack it in a drawer with a towel or something under it so that the surface does not scratch or does it really have to be a bag? How long does it take to dry?
The bags have the advantage of keeping order and not looking in with the oil.
And in the dark because of the durability, since sunlight is permanently bad for the latex. Also in the bag it should be in the dark.
Drying takes about as long as I would say in fabric clothing. Maybe even a bit faster, because it has to go more or less.
it is a minimal film to answer it with your comparison, definitely less oily than once over the butter, which of course also depends on how much oil was in the water bath. But it is not enough.
No probably the sunlight will not do anything or definitely not very fast, especially since your leggings will probably be black and most insensitive in general.
Is this after washing and drying really greasy, so how to put a finger over butter? Is there such a film or does it just not stick together and is soft without residue when touching? I don’t know. Meanwhile, I’m still storing the leggings in the paper packaging on my desk. Can the normal sunlight, which does not seem to weaken the latex?
To your last comment.
Latex does not wear UV light in the long term, whether sun or lamp.
You can hang up latex clothes normally in the closet if you don’t mind. Latex has a certain smell.
Only pack in tuets can also be harmful if permanent folds form.
