How does this fit together: "We consume too much energy" and "Hey, let's switch all our transport to electric motors"?

Won't this bring the networks, for example in the USA, which often consist of historical Big Bang matter anyway, to a standstill even more often than before?

“We consume too much energy” and “Hey, let’s put the traffic completely on electric motors”?

Fossil energy carriers are also energy.

Since a petrol engine has an efficiency of about 40%. An electric motor, however, has an efficiency of about 80% or more.

Use a car much less energy than a normal car. At the same distance.

Of course, energy comes from renewable or nuclear sources.

Otherwise, it doesn’t take so much. But it has something else.

Edit: The great advantage of e-mobility would be that they would be able to provide an appreciable contribution to the storage capacity of strom. In order to compensate for the fluctuations of the energy available.

The largest batteries currently have a capacity of 100kwh. If we were to replace all cars with electric cars with such a battery (that would be 66.5 mio cars) and only 10% use their capacity for grid balancing. If we had a potential energy reserve of 665 mio kwh. What 665 gigawatthours. That would be right. What we total germany for approx. 12h could only supply electricity from the cars.

The consumption of oil (and associated petrol) is the energy that is to be used less

Since electric motors are operated with electric batteries, which must be electrically charged, the argumentation is unfortunately a bite in your own tail!

apart from the fact that the efficiency of an electric drive machine is a few percentage points better than that of a piston engine.

However, two or three essential elements must be taken into account:

  • so that “clean” mobility works, the current must also be clean.
  • atomic current is not clean, only because one calculates the emmsiions by the construction and neb operation of the power plant, the fuel degradation, the propagation of the fuel and the end storage, is close to CO2-free working
  • it still has to stay enough more saubrer stream for other applications

under the dash it is so that if it really should help the environment, we do not get around a dim, and I mean with it also duchaus totally dim! if I would not live so leniently, I would not have a private car anymore. with the ding I drive as just 2,000 to 3,000 km in the year, and most of them are trips and holiday trips.

Hello,

this fits just as well as to set up wind park systems and these were connected to grids only a few years later. It was always about the policy that some decisions were taking each other. I don’t want to start from nuclear power plants. First, shut down all power plants (due to fear) and then buy for “too much” energy demand from abroad. And today even environmental clean energy is to be classified.

Well..Welcome to Our Politics and Economy.

If my diesel consumes 6l/100km, this means about 60 kWh of energy. Plus the energy needed for refining.

On the other hand, 20 kWh/100km is a comparable e-car.

This is the fourth industrial revolution. Turning industry to bee protection. Costs 30 trillions globally. And afterwards we don’t want to live anymore because it feels like medieval times

that will take a long time

we want to do less, different more. Believe me, that will work.
