I recently got the motorcycle out of the garage again and remembered the problem from last summer. When you engage first gear while stationary, it slams into the engine. It's as if you hadn't pulled the clutch at all. The clutch itself is fine, though. If I engage the gear while coasting, everything works great….

I have a 1988 Hercules Prima 5 with a P3 manifold and tuning exhaust. I wanted to ask if I could go faster with a 12-speed pinion than the current 32 km/h. And I've heard that you have to grind it because the pinion is too big, or is that only on the newer models…
