How long wrestling experience do you need for MMA?

I'm 15 (m/m) and have been going to wrestling regularly for about two years now and wanted to start MMA and make it big. However, I've noticed that most professional MMA athletes have been very successful in wrestling (e.g., at the Olympics). In comparison, I have a hard time at wrestling tournaments because my opponents are usually much more experienced, and it drives me crazy when I see that other young people a similar age are already national champions, world champions, etc.
So should I continue wrestling and train longer, or could I start MMA? My main goal is to be successful in MMA, but wrestling is an important foundation.

Well, if you have more experienced opponents then you might lose, but you have a super workout.

In addition, ground fighting is important in the MMA because most battles are won on the ground.

And I am Thaiboxer and the guys who come from the rings have really much strength and good muscles, which is also important.

Go to an MMA club and let yourself be advised. It’s best to train right there. If you don’t have one, keep ringing or maybe Thaiboxing because you still need kicking, boxes, knees, elbows, clinches and hardening for MMA.
