How long should I avoid sertraline before using MDM@?
I currently take 100mg of sertraline daily and 1-2mg of lorazepam (benzodiazepine) about once a week. How long do I have to abstain from sertraline, or how long will it take until it's out of my system, so I can take MDM@ so that I can feel something and, if possible, not die immediately?
I would be very happy to receive answers<3
Sertralin (SSRI) can eliminate the effect of MDMA. However, the side effects of the MDMA (shot breaks, heat flashes, teeth cracks etc…) can increase.
No SSRI (e.g. Sertralin) should be consumed up to 14 days before consumption, as both substances dock on serotonin receptors. Especially as SSRI usually takes longer.
Oh wow, thank you
Good to ask. Please speak urgently with your doctor if you want to drop the sertraline. The settling can trigger unpleasant settling symptoms. This should not be done so and suddenly, but always in consultation with a doctor.
The mean half-life of sertralin is given at 22 to 36 hours. After the end of a half-life, only half of the absorbed substance was separated from the body. After a further half-life, half of the substance remaining in the body and so on. The fist formula is that it takes about five half-life until a substance has been largely removed from the body. In this case, this can take a good week. The settling symptoms can even last for a good two weeks. For as long as it is necessary to wait at least with the consumption of other substances if one wishes to avoid unfavourable to dangerous interactions as far as possible.
I would like to repeat myself: Sertralin, please don’t stop at all, but only in consultation with your doctor. If anything.
Note that not only can the termination of the treatment counteract, but also the consumption of MDMA itself. The use of MDMA can have a negative impact on health and health. In sensitive people the consequences can be drawn for weeks or even longer. This applies only if it is MDMA (cf. Drugchecking). Other substances may have quite different negative effects.
General information about the typical effects and side effects as well as the risks associated with the use of MDMA can be found here:
