The maximum steering time in D is EC Regulation No 561/2006 only 9 hours:

Austria is in the EU and therefore the same applies to the Piefkes.

During the steering and rest periods, Switzerland is oriented towards the EU regulations or the AETR.

Steering and rest periods are “European” law and are the same in all EU countries. There is also the AETR agreement that many countries have not joined the EU. It is therefore easier to say: it is uniform throughout Europe

All EU is well regulated and also applies in Switzerland. There is also the ban on night driving for trucks. I know a truck driver who once violated it, besides a juicy fine, he got two years of entry ban.
