How long does it take for your printer cartridges to run out and how often/how much do you print?

Hello everyone,

I would like to buy a printer and have noticed how expensive ink cartridges are.

Now I'm wondering how long one cartridge will last.

Since I'm a student, I wouldn't print a lot, but I don't have to be at home all the time; I can do some of it at university. How is it for you?

For university, an Eco Tank model or laser printer (s/w) would be recommended.

Have even an Eco Tank, well it can be used up to 4500 pages per filling (~30€), but it should also be used regularly… Mind once a month wants to be cleaned (to deliver reasonable results) (automatic program ~15min – but costs some ink). Therefore, probably at the end “only” are 3500 pages. But if you let the hoses dry – you can throw that thing away.

But I haven’t printed much cheaper yet.

Since I make the highest 5-10 prints a week at home, I chose a LASER printer.

The cartridges (cartridges) often hold 2-3 years, ink jets are almost always dried up with me and I had more “bastle” with cleaning like usable prints.

That’s why I’m just LASER.

How many pages does a printer cartridge Canon create?

On average, a range of about 350 pages. With an HP ink No. 302, only about 190 pages can be printed. The ink cartridges for the Brother printer DCP-J4120DW, on the other hand, are sufficient for approximately 550 print pages.

Depends on the printer and how much you print. I’m printing a little bit, but there’s always something ink for self-cleaning. 1 sentence maybe a 3/4 year.

My compatible printer cartridges in the Canon printer hold a 3/4 year per color.
