Die Europäer waren schon immer Entdeckungsfreudig und immer auf der Suche nach Ländereinen, Gold und Arbeiter. Ein Grund für die Kolonialisierung war die Industrielle Revolution. Spätestens an diesem Zeitpunkt ist Europa jedem auf der Welt den Rang abgelaufen weil sie technisch einfach überlegen waren.
Es gab nicht wenige Europäer. Der Kontinent war auch schon damals sehr dicht bevölkert.
In Europa gab es sehr viele verschiedene Völker und das hatte zur Folge, dass es hier ständig Krieg gab. Die Europäer hatten eine Tradition des Krieges, die mehr als 2 Jahrtausende zurück reichten. Mit diesem Vorsprung war es nicht schwer, jeden Eingeborenen niederzukämpfen.
Dazu kamen die europäischen Nutztiere. Die Europäer haben sich an deren Krankheiten angepasst und sehr viele Abwehrstoffe gegen Krankheiten entwickelt, die in anderen Regionen der Welt tödlich verliefen.
