Wie könnte mein weiterer Weg aussehen (Schweiz)?

Hallo zusammen

Ich habe 4 Jahre eine Lehre als Konstrukteur EFZ gemacht, danach BMS und ein Bachelorstudium in Maschinentechnik mit Abschlüssen in Produktentwicklung und Automation und Robotik. Nun arbeite ich seit 4 Jahren als CAD-Zeichner. Am liebsten würde ich einen MSE machen, diesen kann ich mir allerdings nicht leisten mit nur 50% arbeiten. Gerne würde ich etwas machen, dass ich noch ca. 80% arbeiten kann und wäre auch offen am Wochenende in die Schule zu gehen. Am meisten würde mich immer noch für die Automation interessieren. Weiter aber auch Applikationsentwickler oder Elektrotechnik, was beides ein anderes Berufsfeld ist. Was könnte ich als Master machen oder welche Weiterbildung? Kann mir aber trotzdem auch eine Weiterbildung im mechanischen Bereich vorstellen. Dieser Master sollte nicht zu teuer sein, denn viele MBAs und MAS sind sehr teuer, für das bei einem MSE nur Semesterkosten bezahlt werden müssen. Vielen Dank für Eure Beratung.

You are clearly overqualified for your work. Before you think of making more expensive training, I would recommend:

  1. Talking to the HR department, how it is possible to do a job that matches your level of training and if that is not possible, why not? Do you miss other qualifications?
  2. Talk with a professional consultancy office in Switzerland. At the present lack of skilled workers in automation technology, it is incomprehensible to employ someone outside his training profile.

So I draw whole machines, put out engines and run the whole project. But still 95% is drawing in CAD models and drawings.

Your posting doesn’t make any sense or I need some help in CH-Aküfi 😉

  • Your Bachelor’s degree is far higher than an MSE (which is below Abi). Or do you mean MSc or MEng.? (what is forgiven depends in the area more on the institution awarded than on the course of study).
  • And you already have a degree with automation? With Master, we are more likely to press the management skills, so with the peculiar. Doing matter less and less.

With the MSE I mean the Master of Science in Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. For me, there are the fields: Automation and Sensorics, Mechanical Engineering and Medical Engineering. But unfortunately you can max. 50% work and I can never finance this without putting my fortune completely in.
