How to remove cat claw scratches from parquet/laminate?
Hello, we've recently moved into a new apartment, and we've noticed that our cat likes to leave scratch marks. However, we'd like to prevent this or remove it in the future. Perhaps someone has some tips? Best regards.
Laminate is quite different than parquet. First, a multi-layered, very hard plastic on cardboard supports and is not repairable when damaged. The second is a natural product of wood, which can be ground to a certain degree when damaged.
I do not know that cats cause damage to laminate, because they do not like this very smooth floor.
From normal cat runs on velvet paws there are no claw tracks, probably more from jumping out of height and playing. Is it missing from scratch material?
In case of rent, I would try to protect the floor by carpets or protective coverings.
Had a rental apartment with softwood. Dogs and cats were allowed. Despite all efforts, soil wear could not be prevented.
Soil protection, scratches and good insurance should make your conscience easier.
So the easiest way is to get scratches out of laminate in which you replace the laminate.
This is because the useful layer is very thin – you could try it with colored wax, but this is not a proper repair
“Remove” goes with wood paste, which is available in different colors.
Prevent only with a floor covering. Straight laminate Is for cats the hell floor adhesion = 0 Therefore the scratches also come. Linoleum is also available in parquet optics. In all brown tones. Tile/granite optics
Correct, actually it is vinyl floor. He should be scratch resistant?
I haven’t had it in the house yet.
Dogs and cats have nothing to look for in an apartment or house.
