Depends on the respective games.

Some programs (including games) have all the data they need in their own folder or in two separate folders, one for all users of the computer together and one for each individual user or in addition on an outsourced server (“in the cloud”) – in this case it is enough to move the folder(s) and, if necessary, adjust a setting file a little.

Some programs create dozens to hundreds of entries in many different places in the registry and may still place your own settings files in obscure places – these are usually only moved by uninstalling and reinstalling if at all: too often the developers of the uninstall program overlook one and the other, and you have a “untotes” program in the system; then only helps reinstall the operating system.

Most programs are somewhere in between.

That’s why I recommend that you look for this question for every single game in the forums.
