How can I convince my parents to get rats?

Hey, I've wanted rats for about 2 years, I've also done some research and I ask them about 3 times a year, but they still don't want it, do you have any tips on how I can convince them and do you have any tips for keeping them?

Thank you in advance

Hello 🙋

Talk to your parents and ask what the reasons are. You can bring back arguments.

e.g. parents:’ Rats stink extreme”

You:” With healthy rats and more correct (kay)flege, they hardly stink. You smell when you stand on the cage the pack smell”

but if they say that:

Parents:’ We don’t have enough money for rats/animals in general”

Then accept that. It’s true. Rats, which cost 10-25 euros per piece during the purchase, in their lives will certainly cause 500-1000 euros only to the veterinarian. I spent almost 5,000 euros in veterinarian costs for 6 rats in 2.5 years (4 live up to date). And that’s just the veterinarian costs. Spread, good dry food and good fresh food will definitely cost another 25-50 euros per month, depending on what you give as a fresh food (important! balanced).

If you have Instagram I recommend watching the pages rats.aux and Bluesrattencrew. There you learn everything you need to know and it will help you.

Oh, I know that. My parents have often forbidden me to keep certain animals for completely irrational reasons.
I then always tried to explain with logical arguments why I want these animals and could also provide everything in knowledge concerning the attitude.

I don’t know how your parents are on it, but if you don’t have it yet, I’d try to leverage your parents’ “thinking” with logical arguments.

When it came to rats, my mother used to mean that they would stink and that they wouldn’t want to. However, this is only partly true. With good care rats don’t really stink. And with poor care, you would also be able to make a cat stink 😂

Therefore, I would simply try it with a classic one-and-handling based on a logical argumentation. If that doesn’t work, I don’t know anymore 😅

If they don’t want, they don’t want to.

I can understand. Rats are very intelligent animals, but also do a lot of work and just when it is warm, you have to clean the cage very often so that it does not start to stink. Not just a pet for everyone.

I wanted to. I never thirsty. No matter how many times I asked. I gave it up.

Now I don’t have one, but only because my interests have shifted. The rats eventually became ferrets that fascinated me. And then I could finally get them with me 30 when all the conditions were right.

From experience I can tell you, leave it. You won’t be able to change it.

I begged my parents for years after a dog or cat and tried to convince them. Don’t worry.

Meanwhile, I live alone with my partner and I can finally hold cats.

Accept that your parents do not want and wait until you live alone, then you can put the animals you want without having to ask your parents.

Your parents certainly have their reasons.

Therefore, you will not be able to convince them as often as you ask.

If you have your own apartment and deserve your money, your desire is no longer in the way.
