How can I convince my parents not to move?

My parents and I moved to the town where we live now almost eight years ago. I've felt at home and welcome here from the very beginning. I've gotten to know many people and places here and grew up here until my teenage years. Now my parents want to move back to the town where my mother is originally from. I've made my big dream of becoming a firefighter come true, and I'd be able to forget most of it if we moved away.
I have everything I need around me here… shops, train station, etc. Everything is extremely well located. My mother's hometown has become a different place than it was 30 years ago… I try to explain that to her all the time, but she always says, "We have to think about our future, too." "It would be better for you, too."
I really don't want to leave here, and I can't convince my parents of my opinion. They want to look at an apartment this week.
Does anyone have any tips?
