How can I calculate the partial currents and voltage drops here?

Hello, I've already worked through the example several times, but I can't seem to get the right results using the knot/stitch rules. I would appreciate it if someone could help me and maybe give me a tip.

I’m not using the mesh rule, I’d rather consider the potentials.

I take the lower node as reference potential 0.

The potentials at the three connecting nodes are known: 25 V, -5 V and -5 V.

The potential of the upper node is Ux.

Then the node rule is there

(25 V – Ux) / R1 + (-5 V – Ux) / R2 + (-5 V – Ux) / R3 = 0

You can calculate Ux. Then you know all the voltages and can calculate the currents.

As you guess correctly, you can see that at the sign.

In the case of circuit breaks, “trimmed arrows” are introduced, for the direction into which voltages drop and currents flow. In this case, I have positively counted flows flowing into Ux. If the calculated current becomes negative, it just flows out of Ux.

The problem already occurred at U_q3, where the voltage (“electromotoric force” – this term is considered very obsolete) acts against its counting arrow.

according to the drawing is I1 -I2 -I3 =0.

tunik123 has let all streams go from bottom to top. It doesn’t matter how to do it, you just have to stay consistent.
