How can I open a 3MF file in Ultimaker Cura and then print it?

I just wanted to download a new file for my 3D printer and then print it out, but it was a 3mf file that I cannot open in Ultimaker Cura or I always get an error message. Can someone help me?

https://file.wiki/extension/3mf

Extract from the source .

A 3MF file is a 3D production file format that is used to create and print 3D models with Windows apps like 3D builders. It contains a 3D model that contains textures, mesh, colors, materials, scaling and a print ticket with recommended print options.

The 3MF format allows Windows apps to use supported 3D printers and should be the only format used from the design to the manufacturing process. Apps send 3MF data to Windows, and Windows spools data for printing to 3D printer drivers.

The format can contain resources that are required to reproduce the exact appearance, as well as the possibility to describe the arrangement of objects and instructions for printing order control. The format was developed by a consortium of 7 companies, including Autodesk Inc., HP, Microsoft Shape andways, Inc. and Dassault Systems.

Programs that can read these files ( example):

Microsoft 3D Builder

If your Ultimate Cura can’t, bad luck only remains the possibility to search a program that it can (see text above)

For Cura there is a plugin so you can load the 3mf files.

By converging them to STL.

The easiest way is to open it with a program compatible with both file formats and then save it as STL. I’d be the first autodesk to do this.

The error message says that the file does not contain usable data.

You cannot change a file without content or defective content.
You don’t have to reforestation either because Cura gets clear with 3mf format when the file is okay.

This is simply wrong! In any statement you have done so far.

the file is not damaged. Cura can simply not process the file.
