How can I get rid of the fear of driving school?
Hello
I'm 22 and started my driver's license at 17, but never finished it. My driving instructor often yelled at me so loudly that I cried, and at the time, among other things, I developed severe psychological problems, probably due to the stress, which is why I quit.
I'm now terrified of getting my driver's license and driving. However, I now live alone in a village where I'm essentially dependent on a driver's license, as I only have shops in neighboring towns. I'm increasingly realizing that it would be better if I had a driver's license.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can overcome this fear? Maybe some of you have felt the same way.
Thanks in advance
A reasonable driving instructor doesn’t shout loudly. The best way to find out about a driving school you want to go to. If everything is OK with the driving school or with the driving instructors, I would go there. You will see that everything is respectful – as it should be. Means you don’t need to be afraid of the driving school!
Why don’t you ask your friends where they took their driver’s license? I used to be yelled at by my instructor, then I changed the instructor.
The majority of them has no driving licence and those who have one live several hundred KM far away
Unfortunately, his fears are overcome only when you simply do it, not so great.
Hmm okay, you must decide where you’re going. There is no other way. Good luck
A driving instructor who yells at the rider is a bad driving instructor and you should immediately untie it from your task or change the driving school.
Are you afraid of driving instructors or even fear of driving? When driving, I have the tip of driving with a friend or friend or similar to a traffic exercise place. It usually helps.
The fear of the driving instructor is more difficult. Good experiences from friends could be helpful. However, I must say from my own experience that the experience of friends does not always have to fit oneself.
Ultimately, it’s a matter of trust. If you have a good feeling with the driving instructor, it should work. Maybe you’ll try a ride teacher. Then the memory of the most corked rides a few years ago is perhaps not so disturbing.
If you really want it, you’ll make it. And you can do it. Good luck.
I had over 22 double driving hours before I got too much. I just never drove on highways. I’m afraid it ends like that again or I can’t make it
You put yourself under stress. That’s not helpful. But you know that too.
After 22 double driving hours, you should be able to drive. So you just lack the highway and maybe some refreshment. That sounds good and promising. You only lack the confidence in the new driving instructors and in yourself. That’s not helpful.
This means you have to build yourself. I’m just getting involved with autogeneous training right now. That might sound a little weird for you now. But you can influence yourself and calm your psyche. Find out where this is offered near you and make a course.
This has helped me very much during a stressful working phase and I have found the rest to be able to deal with some annoying colleagues calmly. And I just made a course.
I wish you could find a way to deal with the problem. Good for you.
Try to reproach your fears in such a way that they do not apply to driving school or driving in general, but only to the then (idiot) driving instructor.
So that you’re mentally open to the fact that it’s not going to be stupid with a proper driving instructor, but can go well.
And then look at which driving schools there are in the area and ask for test driving hours with particularly cumbersome driving instructors. Then finish the driving school with a driving instructor you understand well.
Either you pull the way you don’t need a driver’s license to do anything with the public.
Or you’ll deal with your mental problems first. Then you will also be able to make a driving licence.
Therapy sites now have 1.5 to 2 years waiting time. I’ve only lived here for about 1 year and I wouldn’t be moving again.
It’s normal. But the longer you wait the longer it takes to get a place.
I already have an appointment for a first interview. I can’t wait until I’m in therapy

That’s what I’ve done years ago. You don’t seem to have read the question correctly.
