Basically, I would suspect that either no driver or the wrong driver is installed – a look at the device manager would reveal this. Or the map is so old that it already comes to its technical limits (which I cannot really imagine at 1440×900).
Also take the driver specifically for this monitor. Windows 7 knows many standard resolutions, but maybe this ‘crupe’ isn’t. Trying to make good.

Both drivers (graphic card and monitor) are up to date
Bullshit, there is missing the correct nvidia driver, moreover for the monitor does not need any drivers and has never used it before, win läd just any vga driver so you can see anything from which the correct nvidia driver load, install and is good
As I said try the device manager, there you can see if the correct graphics card has been detected or only standard drivers.
In addition, it could still be on an ancient connection cable, at least I would try another graphics card output here as well as other monitor cables.
To manually install the Nvidia driver, first download the driver on their website for your operating system. With e.g. USB stick then transferred to this Win7 computer and execute the setup. After a restart, the driver should be correctly integrated.
There should be something on the hardware, i.e. manufacturer, model or at least any product code. Alternatively, you can click on the hardware in the device manager, open properties and read out the hardware ID in detail and google afterwards – usually this brings a result.
Or hang high-resolution photos from front and back here, maybe we can determine something.
I can’t find the NVIDIA driver, however, because I don’t get any information about the card from the system, see screenshots. Have already looked at the Legacy Section at Nvidia and do not know which driver is the right one.
Should be a bit longer at once as there is a 16:10 ratio is not a 16:9(standard nowadays) you can’t really change it without getting black bars at the edge. If you want to change it then via the NVDIA drivers
As far as I can remember my Win7 time, Win7 also automatically adjusts the correct screen resolution.
The display then contains, for example: 1440 x 900 (recommended).
For setting the resolution see e.g.:

If these steps do not solve the problem, it might also be helpful to connect the monitor to another computer or to connect another monitor to ensure that the monitor itself does not cause the problem.
Of the many rental income, a new PC will probably fall for parents
the latter happens when a standard driver is used by MS. Otherwise the name would be from the graphic processor.
What is contrary to the statement “will be displayed as a standard graphics card”.
Ok I check again, but I installed the Nvidia driver extra yesterday
It only uses Windows 7 intrigued Driver you get a rough picture.
You need to install the right NVIDIA driver to adjust the resolution.
Since you don’t know which graphics card you’ve made the following steps.
Click Start.
Search for execution
Enter dxdiag
The DirectX diagnostic program is then opened. Click the tabDisplay.
On the tabDisplaywill give you information about your graphics card in the areaDevicedisplayed. Here you can see the name of your card and information about the size of the video storage.
Then you can go to NVIDIA and download and install the driver.
After installation, the computer must be restarted and then it also works with the resolution .
