How can I search for files in subfolders of the same name in Win10?
Hi. It was a bit difficult to express the question clearly, so I'll simply explain my situation.
I have a large folder (A).
In this folder (A) I have many subfolders (B1-X).
In some of these subfolders there is a folder called C.
Now I want to display all files and folders of folder A that are located in a folder C.
On my old PC, it all worked perfectly. I typed C into the search bar, and after a few seconds, all the files located in a C folder (and the folders themselves, of course) were displayed.
Now I have a new PC where this isn't so easy, same operating system.
If I want to do it now, either only the C folders themselves are displayed, or I switch to
"View/Options/Search"
the option "Always search file names and contents (this process may take a few minutes)"
But then, as described, it takes much, much longer. How do I make sure the whole thing is quick and easy? The question was understandable, and someone can help me. I have a lot of experience with computers, especially Windows 10, but I'm no expert.
I personally use a tool called Everything.
Everything is a very fast desktop search for file names and directories on NTFS drives under Windows. The program is so fast because it is index-based and also requires only a few system resources. It is also free for commercial use, but donations are welcome to be seen.
I’ll try it soon
