Just because they belong to the state, Jobcenter gets a budget that must last for a whole year. When the center gets the money out, and now it’s August, that’s what it is.

The job center can’t go “pleite”. You probably mean some media articles that the budget was used up.

The Jobcenter Bremen is a joint institution according to paragraph 44 b SGB II. It is therefore an association of municipal institutions (here the city of Bremen) and the Federal Agency for Labour, which is a federal government authority at the federal level.

Both municipalities and the federal government have a so-called insolvency ban. You can go insolvent by law (paragraph 12 para. 1 InsO). Thus, the job center cannot go intosolvent either.

Look at the debt clock. From this: If everyone is resting on unemployment and citizens’ money and nobody else is working: where should the money come from? What’s going to be cashed pay the ones who go to work. Even the money does not grow on trees.

This does not change the fact that Germany is not broke, and it does not explain how it can be a jobcenter anyway.
