How is 125% vision possible according to the ophthalmologist?
Hey guys!
I have the following question: I recently went to the ophthalmologist because the last time I had my eyes and glasses checked was several years ago.
After an eye test (which was even carried out twice), the people there confirmed that I had 125% vision.
Nevertheless, I still have +0.75 on the left and +1.0 on the right on my new and old lenses.
Shouldn't I normally have something below 100% since I have to wear glasses, or does the percentage depend on other values?
Dioptrics and vision have nothing to do with each other. The diopter count doesn’t say anything about how good you can see.
There is no 100% in the professional eye optics at all. There one speaks of Visus, The 100% are Visus 1.0, and this visus has been determined as average visual performance, and therefore one speaks of percent in the “people mouth”.
This is quite possible!
You can actually with Glasses reach a 125% visus. But without glasses less. The percentage does not exclude from other values.
Thanks for the star and a beautiful Sunday.
The value is probably due to your far-sightedness. Nearby, 125% are naturally impractical and therefore you need lenses or glasses.
Probably has methodical-calculated reasons. Maybe ask the ophthalmologist again.
The sight is 100% if you with Glasses look as good as an average person without lens defects in the eye. Even then you don’t see every detail. So you look more closely with glasses than someone with healthy eyes.
