Hello, I saw someone today with a dog that looked like a Shiba Inu, only cat-sized. But the dog was fully grown. What's the name of the breed? I've been seeing them a lot lately.

Ich habe mal etwas gegoogelt und es solll wohl “Mini-Shiba Inu” geben, welche aber nicht als eigenständige Rasse gelten. Diese leiden unter Zwergwuchs und die Männchen erreichen wohl gerade mal 30cm Schulterhöhe und ein maximal Gewicht von bis zu 7 Kg. Die Weibcheb spllen noch deutlich kleiner sein.
Eventuell war es ja ein solcher den du gesehen hast.

verwechselst du Shiba Inus mit akitas, die sehen ja ähnlich aus. Shiba Inus sind ja schon kleine Hunde. Allerdings schon größer als Katzen. Gibt die aber angeblich auch als Mini-Version.
Ich hatte jetzt keine Ahnung wie ich den Hund besser beschreiben sollte. Der sah einfach von Fellfarbe (rötlich braun/braun und etwas weiß an Gesicht und Bauch), Körperbau und Gesicht, wie ein Shiba Inu aus. Natürlich war es keiner, immerhin hatte er circa Hauskatzen Größe.
Frag einfach mal nach wenn du wieder einen siehst.
Kleiner als Shiba gibts eigentlich nicht. Bist Du sicher dass Du nicht einen Zwergspitz gesehen hast ? 🙂
Garantiert, einen Spitz würde ich schon erkennen. Die haben ja auch etwas längeres Fell und ein bisschen kleinere Ohren und kürzere Schnauze, wenn ich es richtig im Kopf habe.
Naja – es gibt Leute die scheren Zwergspitze 🙁 Aber gut – wenn es kein Spitz war weiss ich es auch nicht. Mir fällt keine Rasse ein die kleiner ist wie ein Shiba aber so aussieht. Und dass es einfach ein junger Shiba war ist auch ausgeschlossen ?
