My mother-in-laws have a completely different view of the world than my parents, it always made it a bit difficult.
Nevertheless, we have always understood well. I know when I’m silent.
Unfortunately, my father-in-law died last year. My mother-in-law became Saturday 86, of course we were with her.
My father-in-law is no longer alive. My mother-in-law does not speak German and I only speak little Brazilian Portuguese, so “understand” is a bit difficult. She also lives a few thousand kilometers away.
I had a good relationship with my father-in-law before the wedding or before the time of gathering. That would be the case today, if he hadn’t died 1 year after our wedding. 🙁
With my mother-in-law, this is something else. The relationship is not bad. But she’s… I’ll say a unique, a special type of person. It also has health aspects. But we greet and hug each other once we see each other or we meet.
Unfortunately, my father-in-law has taken life over 20 years ago and with my mother-in-law we have no more contact!
Had start difficulties (my friend always thinks his mother is a bit difficult), but now understand us well, but not like friends, but there is still a certain distance!
