How cheap are OLED gaming monitors?

The first proper OLED gaming monitors appeared about a year or two ago. Unfortunately, these models were very expensive, costing €1,000 and more, and the panels were still very dim. Now, you can get the new generation of OLED panels starting at €800, which are significantly brighter and already offer 360Hz. Even the first generation is now available for under €600.

How affordable do you think monitors will be in the next few years? They'll most likely never be as affordable as IPS monitors, but how much do you think the price difference will be between an IPS and an OLED monitor?

Especially if other manufacturers like Samsung and BOE enter the market alongside LG, this will certainly push prices down significantly.

I currently own a 1440p IPS model with 180Hz and will be upgrading to an OLED model with 360Hz in two years at the latest. Currently, such a monitor costs at least €800. Do you think it's realistic that I'll be able to get such a model for €500, or €600 at the most, by then?

For televisions where OLED has been available for over 10 years, the ratio is currently at 1:2 (OLED of the same class twice as expensive). That’s the point.

IPS is represented to the upper middle class in the form of LGs QNED TVs. Much too expensive, even if the other equipment is good, IPS with its bad contrasts is simply a no-go for enthusiasts in the TV area.

Think in 1-2 years you get the first OLEDS with 1440P and 240HZ for around 400€.

360s then 500-600€ and the 4K parts for 800€+

The technology becomes older, develops further and becomes increasingly cheaper in production. Vllt has a new revolutionary technology in 5 years, making the Oled even cheaper. You will certainly get such a monitor for the price
