Why do meteors always land in holes?
I recently saw an astronomy lecture about meteors. A question I've always wondered is why meteors always land in holes. Wherever there's a meteor, there's also a hole, but why? Is that a coincidence or something?

Es war ein Meteorit kein Meteor. Als Meteor wird nur die Leuchtspur eines Objektes bezeichnet das völlig in der Atmosphäre verglüht. Sternschnuppen sind Meteore. Etwas hellere nennt man Bolide.
Der Meteorit der die Dinosaurier auslöschte war etwa 10 bis 12 Kilometer groß und damit größer als der Mount Everest.
Ca. 10 km Durchmesser.
